The Faran is all about function and utility. Whether it’s commuting, gravel, audax, randonneuring with a small front rack, or touring with front panniers, the Faran’s true strength lies in its versatility. It’s the kind of bike you’ll grow deeply attached to as you rack up the miles together. As the seasons and years pass, racks and cages will be added or removed, wheel and tyre sizes will be experimented with – its form, capability, and carrying capacity continually evolving to match your riding style. On some level, every cyclist shares a desire for self-sufficiency and escape – and it’s this idea that drives the utilitarian design ethos of the Faran.

Faran 3.0 Features
Mid-Low Trail Geometry
The Faran’s mid-low trail geometry works well with front loading. Build it as a tourer, utility or randonneuring machine.
SRAM Transmission Compatible
Our modular drop-out ensures full compatibility with SRAM’s new T-Type rear mech systems.
Big Tyre Clearance by Design
Extensively shaped tubing allows for a big choice of tyre widths.
Run up to 700 x 53mm or 650 x 62mm. Tackle even the trickiest terrain.
Carry Nothing or Everything
Compatible with most front and rear rack types.
Custom steel fork allows for multiple carrying points and front rack fitment.
Craftsmanship Inside and Out
High quality welds and brazing throughout. The fillet brazed dropouts are hand filed to give a seamless transition between the tubing and dropout plate. Techniques reserved for the custom world.
We partner with the highest quality frame builders in Taiwan. Masters of their trade. Dropout inserts and hose clips are CNC machined.
Custom Reynolds 725 Tubing – Made for Fairlight
New Reynolds 725 front triangle with custom butting profiles. Reynolds 725 DZB downtube – matched exactly to the butting profiles of the DZB downtube used on the Secan 3.0. New 28.6mm top tube, ovalized to 25 x 32mm, for increased stability when carrying a front load.
Modular Design Solutions – Future-proofing your investment
All of the parts fitted to your frameset are modular.
The benefit of modular design is that we do not have to align ourselves to any particular brand or standard. As new standards are developed, we can produce parts that meet those new designs. We aim to future-proof your investment.
Full Dynamo Compatibility
We’ve carefully designed internal routing for full dynamo compatibility.
Super-clean dynamo installations. Our custom CNC machined rear light holder adds beauty and functionality.
Flat ovalised rear triangle
Using technology first introduced on the Strael 3.0, we have heavily curved and flattened the stays to maximize compliance. Unique to Fairlight. Post-forming heat treatment adds strength.
Fairlight x Bentley Mk III
For the Mk III version, we have introduced a CNC’d removable cable stop. This makes each build type specific. Whether running mechanical, Di2 or AXS gearing, the frame looks designed specifically for it. Direct mount, standard hanger and T-Type inserts available.
Flat mount 160mm rotor native.
The Faran 3.0 is designed to use 160mm rotors on both the frame and the fork. On the rear of the frame you can now run a 160mm rotor without needing an adaptor. Compatible with maximum 180mm rotors, front and rear.
Faran 3.0 Fork
Bosses and braze-ons are positioned to offer minimal compromise across the widest variety of rack and cage configurations – 4 x side cage mounts, low-rider mounts, rando rack mounts.
Internal Dynamo routing.
Dynamo lamp mount and fender mount on the front and rear crown. Additional mudguard/fender plate integrated into the base of the crown.
External Cable Routing Solutions
Proudly keeping cables and hoses on the outside.
3d-printed bottom bracket cable guide – one part does several jobs. Guiding the front and rear derailleur cables, the brake hose, dropper post cable, and dynamo light wire. CNC-machined brake hose and dropper clips. Designed in-house; as elegant and light as we could make them.

Base build options
A summary of our base spec build options and pricing. All bikes are fully configurable. Upgrades include Hope or Chris King headsets, SON dynamo installations, alternative wheels (Hunt, Hope & DT Swiss), alternative tyre options and even King Cage bottle cages. Every bike is assembled from start to finish by a single mechanic and built just for you.

Proportional Geometry
Better fitting bikes
All Fairlight bikes have been thoughtfully conceived with the rider in mind. Everybody is different; our bikes are designed to account for differences in body proportions, not just overall height. We call this ‘proportional geometry’. We offer all of our frame sizes in (R)egular and (T)all versions so that you can achieve your perfect fit.
R – Regular
Lower at the front and longer in reach. Designed for people with shorter legs and a longer back but just as suitable for riders wanting a lower and racier riding position.
T – Tall
Higher at the front and shorter in reach. Designed for people with longer legs and a shorter back but also appropriate for riders who want a more upright riding position.
